Sympathy Card

Today's card is made from a background using a piece of discontinued wallpaper that I got from a book from a local Sherwin Williams paint store. If you have not asked for any, you might consider calling any local store that carries wallpaper and ask if they have any discontinued books that they would be willing to give you.

The paper is a textured silver pattern; a silver ribbon was added vertically for interest, and a doily pattern cut from a Cricut Paper Lace 2 cartridge was added (also cut from a piece of discontinued wallpaper). The sentiment was printed from my computer and die cut with a Spellbinders Lacy Ovals die. The butterfly is also a Spellbinders die, Wonderful Wings, and is cut from 4 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil. Viva Ice White Liquid Pearls were added to the die cut.

Here is the card:

Ephesians 2:10

Today's card has a lovely sentiment that I got from Word Art Wednesday awhile back--Ephesians 2:10. It is die cut from Our Daily Bread Designs Vintage Pattern dies. The background is embossed with a Darice EF called Floral Vines; it is lightly dusted with loose iridescent glitter. The roses are from Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms Die Set; green flourish from Die Namics Flourish Die and other foliage punched from Martha Stewart 3-Leaf Punch. The butterfly is cut from Tattered Lace Butterflies Die, and is embellished with Viva Liquid Ice White Pearls. It is finished off with a 10-loop soft pink raffia bow.

Here it is:

Let All Heaven and Earth Rejoice

Today's card is pretty CAS, and is an attempt at getting ready for Christmas again. I used a Darice "Angel with Instrument" EF and embossed four layers of heavy duty aluminum foil. The sentiment, which is from Diane's Daydream Designs (sadly now unavailable), is die cut with Spellbinders Labels 18. A sparkly blue wire-rimmed bow is added for extra embellishment.
