Snowy Christmas Church

Last year I got a wonderful Cottage Cutz die (Church Scene) for my birthday from my daughter. I have felt like I need to get started on Christmas cards, and this was a good one to get started with. I backed the sky portion with some grey cardstock, and the ground with white cardstock; next I sprayed the card with spray glue and sprinkled it with loose clear glitter. The paper behind the church windows and door was colored bright yellow. Next, I sprayed the card again and sprinkled it with Martha Stewart coarse glitter, which really resembles falling snow.

I Count You Twice

Good morning, fellow bloggers!

Do you have stamps that you seldom use? Well, it seemed like a good idea yesterday to look through some stamps that have been sitting all lonely on the shelf, and the one used in today's card was calling out to me.

These were used to make the card:

Stampin' Up When I Count My Blessings (Retired); Elegant Butterfly Punch
DieNamics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose
Sizzix Scalloped Ovals Dies

Sunburst Happy Day

Over the weekend, I went to a discontinued SU sale and was fortunate enough to get lots of goodies. Two of them were used in today's card; originally, I had used the SU Sunburst Thinlets die on the card, but after assembling it, it looked too plain. I searched through my inventory, but could not find anything suitable to put on the card, so instead, I ran another paper through the die and embossed it with a SU Chevron EF. That seemed to make it more interesting. Other items used were Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles Die and SU Friendly Phrases stamp. Viva Liquid Pearls were used to accent the sentiment.
